This study addressed the poverty situation in the peri-urban areas of Cox’s Bazar. It explored the situation of income poverty of the people living in Cox’s Bazar. The study also seeks to understand the situation of women empowerment and informal economic sectors that influence the socio-economic condition of the people living in Cox’s Bazar.

I have applied the urban politcal ecology and industrial ecology to explore the resource and infrastructure distribution and socio-political factors for spatial inequality.

Co-team member (Livelihood Analysis of Vulnerable Poor in Coastal Bangladesh: A Study of Poverty, Vulnerability to Climate Change, Market Accessibility and Governance)
This study explored the socio-economic profile of the targeted beneficiaries to assess the poverty and vulnerability profile. The study also explored smallholders’ agriculture and non-agriculture products and their marketing process which helped to determine the market accessibility index in the upazilas of the nine coastal districts.

The project aimed to create sustainable development of public space, effectively responding to community needs, with participatory approach.Objectives of this study was to mobilize community and understand their needs by conducting group meetings. Mapping of stakeholders with involvement of community has been performed. This study also focused on building capacity of the community by empowering them to take care of future security and maintenance and work with municipal corporation for upkeep of the public space.
