Urban planner and academic

About Me

I have been engaged in teaching and research since 2008 and found my interest in urban services delivery planning. I teach subjects like Municipal Services Planning and have engaged with national and international organizations in exploring the service conditions and ways to improve the service standard. I particularly emphasize the socio-economic and ecological impacts of the decision-making process. I apply an urban political-industrial ecology approach to dissect the problems and conflicts that arise from different actors and try to provide a solution for optimum resource allocation while ensuring social cohesion. I have working experience in stakeholder engagement/participatory development, participatory mapping, climate and disaster vulnerabilities, social exclusion, and women’s involvement in economic activities. I frequently use SPSS and NVivo for quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
